Finding Serenity In Your Personal & Professional Lives in 2020

January 1st may have come and gone, but for millions of people in Bangladesh, India, and Sri Lanka, April 14th signifies the dawn of the new year and the time to make a fresh start in our lives.

We are also starting Q2 of 2020 and with COVID 19 our plans at the beginning of 2020 might require some reflection and adjustment. If you used the Maestro Mindset Manifesto as a guide to your goals for 2020, this would be a good time to take a look back and consider what changes if any you may need to make.

Here is some of the best advice I can give you for reclaiming your life in 2020 and beyond.

Decide on Your Priorities

We are forced to deal with hundreds of tasks every day, and the sad truth is that no matter how hard we try, we cannot handle them all.

As you plan out your daily schedule, take the time to look over your tasks and determine what is most important for you to spend your valuable energy on.

It is interesting during a regular work period we are constantly saying “I wish I had more time to spend with my family” or “If only I had more time to devout to ______” We now have that time. How are you choosing to prioritize your time and stay productive?

Keep Your Health Front-and-Center

If you were driving on a highway and your engine started to smoke, would you skip the nearby gas station to stick to your schedule? Of course not, so please stop to consider the choices you are making in regards to your health.

As we continue our social distancing and isolation, maintaining a healthy workout routine will help our mental health. A simple walk, yoga or weight free exercises on your balcony or backyard can do wonders.

It can be difficult to make the right choices towards our nutrition in our diet at this time. However, a nutritional diet helps strengthen our immunity, keeps our energy levels up and overall mood at a healthy balance.

Experiment with Your Schedule

Find serenity in your work and personal life by taking opportunities to mix your schedule up in new and exciting ways. How would a mid-afternoon workout session improve your mood? Would waking up earlier and knocking out some tasks before you head to work make you feel better?

There are a thousand different questions you can ask yourself when restructuring your day, and each answer can lead to a renewed energy in your heart.

Finding serenity in our personal and professional lives can be like juggling a dozen balls while walking a tightrope in the rain, but each of us has the power to change our lives every day. However you decide to do it, I believe in you. Looking to change your life and make the new decade yours? Visit my website to find out how I can help.
